About Me

I started violin when I was 4 years old with the Suzuki method. I continued with Suzuki until book 6 where I was then introduced to a larger repertoire of music.  After being concert mistress for Pleasant Grove High School Orchestra I attended Snow College majoring in Music Performance performing with their Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. After a year at Snow, my husband and I got married and moved to Salt Lake. While working full time and helping my husband through school I continued to take violin lessons with Dr. Leslie Henrie and playing with the Salt Lake Symphony Orchestra. Although I never finished my music degree, I am excited to soon go back one day and continue learning all I can about music.
It is important to me that my students not only learn how to play the violin correctly through proper technique, but to read music, understand rhythms and music theory. With this, their knowledge of music will increase tremendously. Music is fun and always should be!
